Sweatshirt manufacturer for brands and online stores

We make sweatshirts under your label, starting at 50 pieces. Choose Ready-made (Stock Match) sweatshirts from a factory's existing range in 320–430 gsm fleece or French terry, or have us cut Custom (Made to Order) styles to your pattern in 350–500 gsm.

Neck styles

  • A gray heavyweight crewneck sweatshirt on a white background.

    Crewneck

    Ready-made Custom

We print a crewneck front as large as 12 by 14 inches. A small V of rib below the collar is a Custom option.

  • A heather gray mock-neck sweatshirt with a raised ribbed collar.

    Mock neck

    Custom

The raised collar looks dressier than a crewneck and keeps the throat warmer. Its height is up to you.

  • A dusty blue quarter-zip sweatshirt with a short zip and a raised collar.

    Quarter-zip

    Ready-made Custom

You can have a stiff, upright cadet collar or a varsity collar in stretch rib that folds open as the zip comes down. We fit a locking puller for customers who wear the collar half open.

  • A black half-zip sweatshirt with a long chest zip.

    Half-zip

    Custom

Its zip opens to the chest depth you choose. Either collar style fits it.

Fit and sleeves

Ready-made sweatshirts come in the factory's cut and sleeve style. The fit and sleeves are yours to choose on a Custom order.

  • A heather gray cropped crewneck sweatshirt with full-length sleeves.

    Cropped

    Custom

We shorten only the body, to the finished length on your spec.

  • A man in a black oversized crewneck sweatshirt and black shorts.

    Oversized

    Custom

An oversized body is cut wider and its shoulder line lowered onto the arm.

  • A heather gray raglan sweatshirt with diagonal seams from the collar to the underarms.

    Raglan sleeves

    Custom

Raglans give a crewneck a sporty look and make a contrast sleeve color easy. The sleeve reaches up to the collar in one piece and joins the body on a diagonal from the underarm.

Set-in sleeves at the shoulder point are standard on our regular fit. We shorten the sleeve on an oversized cut by the distance the shoulder drops.

Size range

Ready-made styles come in the factory's sizes. On a Custom order, you can split a color's 50 pieces across XXS–6XL in any mix, down to one sweatshirt in 6XL. Order a size set if your range goes past 3XL. One sweatshirt in your smallest size and one in your biggest are sewn from the pattern scaled to your full range. You check the fit at the two ends before we cut the bulk.

Untreated cotton terry shrinks 3–5% the first time it's washed. Give us target measurements for the sweatshirt once it has shrunk. We enlarge the pattern by the shrinkage we measure on the bulk fabric. Our inspector washes one finished sweatshirt from the batch and checks its chest, body length and sleeve against your spec, within 3/8 inch. We check unwashed Ready-made pieces against the size chart the factory publishes, to that tolerance.

Fabric choice

French terry

French terry suits spring and fall collections. Its yarn loops are left uncut on the inside, and it breathes better than fleece and pills less.

Brushed fleece

The mill brushes the inside of the fabric until the loops form a soft, dense pile. It's the warmest fabric we offer for a winter range.

Our Custom fleece and terry are all cotton or cotton-rich blends such as 80/20. Ready-made factory crewnecks range from 52/48 cotton-polyester to 100% cotton. As of October 2026, US duty on a sweatshirt from China is 36.5% for fabric over 50% cotton and 52% for 50/50 or polyester-rich fabric.

Check the fiber content of any US-blank heather you plan to match. Heathers on those blanks contain more polyester than their solid colors. A mostly polyester heather pills sooner once brushed and falls into the 52% duty rate.

Ready-made and Custom sweatshirts in cotton fleece or terry must pass the US flammability test for clothing, 16 CFR 1610. You pay the lab $50–200 for the first order in a fabric.

Dyed colors Custom

Colors the fabric mill keeps in stock are included in the Custom price. Any other color is dyed in a 50 kg lot to match your fabric swatch or a Pantone TCX textile color.

The fabric for a matching crewneck and sweatpants set goes through one dye batch.

Garment-dyed sweatshirts go into the dye bath after sewing and end up soft and preshrunk. Only the cotton in a cotton-polyester blend takes the dye. The polyester stays pale and gives the color a heathered look.

We keep leftover fabric from a dyed lot for six months and cut same-color reorders from it during that time.

Rib trim Custom

Most US blank crewnecks use fine 1x1 rib. You can switch to 2x2 rib. Its ribs are twice as wide and make chunkier cuffs and a heavier hem band.

Rib knitted with spandex recovers after customers push their sleeves up. We recommend it on heavyweight crewnecks.

We need the finished rib heights as part of your measurements. If you send us a sweatshirt to match, we measure them off it.

We knit and dye the rib apart from the body fabric. You approve the color match on the sample. Collars and cuffs on all Custom sweatshirts get a stretch test.

Prints and embroidery

Decoration adds days to Ready-made and Custom delivery: 3–5 for a DTF transfer, 5–10 for embroidery and 7–14 for a screen print.

A multi-needle embroidery machine stitching through blue fabric held in a hoop.

Start a back print 3–4 inches below the collar seam and end it above the hem band. Sweatshirt fabric bunches at the band and pulls artwork out of shape. On a quarter-zip, put the chest logo beside the zip or embroider a small one on the collar.

Screen print

You pay $0.50–1.20 a piece for every ink color in a print position, after a one-time $15–45 a color for the screens.

Embroidery

Embroidery costs $1–3 per thousand stitches. A logo is digitized into a stitch file once, for $10–75.

DTF transfer

We print your design on film and heat-press it onto the sweatshirt as a DTF, or direct-to-film, transfer. A transfer up to 8.3 by 11.7 inches costs $1.50–3.50 a piece, whatever the number of colors.

Ready-made orders

The minimum Ready-made order is 50 pieces in one style, split over any colors and sizes the factory makes. Most factory styles come in S–3XL or wider and 12–18 colors.

Typical factory prices for 50 pieces are $8–11 a crewneck and $8–15 a quarter-zip. Plain styles start under $6, and washed finishes are the dearest.

You pay in full up front. The sweatshirts reach you in the US 11–18 days later. We have your woven labels made while we source the sweatshirts. Labels, hang tags and branded packaging come in batches of at least 50 per design.

You can have one piece sent by express before you order the rest. The piece price is credited to your order. You pay only the shipping.

We check a random sample from your Ready-made order against ISO 2859-1, the international sampling standard. An order of 50 gets a sample of 8 sweatshirts. Larger orders get a bigger sample. The pass marks are an acceptable quality limit (AQL) of 2.5 on major defects like an open seam and 4.0 on minor ones. We swap any faulty piece the inspector finds for a good one. If the sample fails, we check the whole order piece by piece. You can pay for a full inspection of all pieces in place of the sample.

Custom orders

The minimum for a Custom order is 50 pieces a color. You put down a 30% deposit and pay the balance after approving the batch's inspection photos.

The development fee pays for drafting the pattern, a first sample in the base size you pick and two rounds of sample changes. Your first sample is sewn within 7–12 days of the deposit.

You pay more for heavier fabric, all-cotton fiber, a zip or an oversized cut.

Orders of 45 kg or more go by air and arrive 31–48 days after the deposit. A lighter order, such as 50 crewnecks, goes by express and arrives 3–4 days sooner. That timeline is for a plain sweatshirt in a mill-stock color that gets through sampling in one round. Decoration, dyeing, a size set or extra sample rounds add days.

You pay only the piece price on a reorder cut from your saved pattern. The reorder reaches you 21–30 days after you pay its deposit.

Express courier delivery takes 3–6 days for orders under 45 kg, and air freight above that takes 6–10. A 340 gsm crewneck in size L weighs about 450 g before packing. The express rate applies to a carton's volume weight, worked out from its size, when that's higher than its real weight. We deliver duty paid and bill the duty at cost.

Send us photos of any faulty sweatshirt within two weeks of delivery. We replace it at our cost, freight included, or refund it.
