Cut and sew manufacturer for your own designs

Custom (Made to Order) is clothing cut and sewn to a pattern we draw from your photo or tech pack. Your first sample is ready 7–12 days after you pay the deposit. We cut fabric for the order only after you approve it.

The spec sheet

A phone photo or a sketch is enough for a quote. When you accept the quote, we write a spec sheet for the garment and send it to you before sampling. It has:

  • every measurement of your base size
  • the fabric's fiber content and its weight in grams per square meter (gsm)
  • trims such as zips and drawcords
  • stitch types and seam finishes
  • where the labels go, and the size and position of any print or embroidery

Mark up anything you want changed and send it back. If you already have a tech pack, we check it and tell you what the factory can't make as drawn.

Fabric from the market, or dyed for you

Our buyers source the fabric to the weight and fiber content on your spec sheet. A color the market already stocks costs nothing extra.

For a color of your own, send a Pantone TCX code or a fabric swatch. A dye house dyes a small lot for $80–150 per color, and production takes 5–7 days longer. First the dye house sends a lab dip, a swatch dyed to your color. You approve it while we sew the first sample in the closest stock color.

A small lot of knit fabric is 50 kg. That's enough for 50 hoodies or about 160 T-shirts. The factory keeps the fabric your order doesn't use for six months. If you reorder T-shirts in that color in that time, we cut them from it. Fifty hoodies use most of the lot and leave too little for a reorder. Denim, twill and other woven fabrics are dyed by the meter. We quote a custom color on them separately.

Sewing your own fabric (CMT)

You can send fabric from a mill you already use straight to the factory. We then quote cutting, sewing and trims only. This is CMT: cut, make and trim.

A CMT order has the same minimum, development fee and sample rounds as a full Custom order. A CMT piece costs 40–55% of the Custom price per piece. The more of the garment's cost is fabric, the lower the share.

After you approve the sample, we tell you how much fabric one piece uses in every size. Send that amount plus 5%. The extra 5% covers cutting waste and a shrinkage test. We book your production slot from the day the fabric reaches the factory. Send your own labels or trims to the same address.

The first sample

We sew the first sample in your base size only. When it arrives, measure it against the spec sheet. Wash it once the way your customers will, then measure again. Cotton jersey can shrink 3–5% in its first wash. If your sample shrinks, we add the shrinkage to the pattern.

After you approve the sample, we grade the pattern to your other sizes and send you the graded size chart: every measurement, in every size. We start production when you approve it.

The development fee covers two rounds of changes.

In a round, we change the pattern, fabric or trims and sew a new sample. Rounds after the second cost $30–80 each.

If your range runs to 4XL–6XL, ask for a size set. We sew your smallest and largest size from the graded pattern and send them to you before production. A size set costs $30–80.

From deposit to delivery

Days count from the day you pay the 30% deposit. The totals include no extra sample rounds. An order under 45 kg goes by express, in 3–6 days instead of air freight's 6–10.

Splitting your order across sizes

You order 50 pieces per color and choose the size split yourself, down to one piece in a size.

XXS to 3XL all cost the same. 4XL–6XL use more fabric and cost 15% more a piece.

You pay the development fee once per style. We cut reorders from the saved pattern.

A plain garment in a fabric the market stocks costs the low end of the range. A 400 gsm fleece, a garment wash or metal zips are priced toward the top of the range. Small runs cost more per piece because the factory spends as long setting up the cutting table and the sewing line for 50 pieces as for 500.

Your labels, branded packaging and inspection are included in the price. Hang tags cost $0.25 a piece.

What passes inspection

Before cutting, we wash a piece of the bulk fabric and measure its shrinkage. Fabric from a new dye lot can shrink differently from the fabric your sample was sewn in. If it does, we adjust the pattern before we cut.

We check every finished piece against your approved sample and the graded size chart. A piece passes when each measurement is within 1 cm of the chart, or 0.5 cm for neck opening, cuffs, rise and leg opening.

We fix or remake any piece outside those limits or with a stain, a skipped stitch or a crooked print. You can book a third-party inspector to check the order at the factory, at your cost.

We put the inspection photos in your dashboard. From the same photos we make your free Launch Kit: a ten-second video, a campaign image and five listing images.

Questions

How fast is a reorder?

21–30 days from deposit to a US address, with no sampling: 15–20 days of production and 6–10 days of air freight. If your color has to be dyed again, add 5–7 days.

Can I test a style before paying for development?

Yes. Order 50 pieces of the closest Ready-made (Stock Match) garment. They reach the US in 11–18 days. If the style sells, we develop it as a Custom order in the same project.

What if the delivered pieces don't match my sample?

Tell us within 14 days of delivery, with photos or a short video. We remake the pieces and pay the freight, or refund them if you prefer. Replacements ship within 7–15 days.

Does the pattern belong to me?

Yes. You own the design and the pattern you paid to develop. Ask for an NDA and we'll sign one before development starts.
